DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

Pay:  $21.00 per hour, $16.07 for training

Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record, a High School Diploma or GED, be able to work weekends, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities!

$21.00 per hour after completion of the first week of orientation (approximately 40 hours at $16.07 per hour).  We provide various trainings including CPR/FA and medication training.

The typical shifts for these full-time positions are either 3pm-11pm or 11pm-9am in our residential programs. These positions are full-time (at least 40 hours per week) and include weekends.

Once you join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll have paid training and orientation sessions to gain skills in areas pertaining to developmental disabilities, medication dispensing, CPR/FA, crisis management, behavior support, documentation, and other job-related topics.

Here’s a brief summary of the benefits offered: Health, dental, and vision benefits are available on the first day of the month after 60 days of full-time employment. The agency offers a two different plans with Aetna, one of them being a HSA plan. Employer paid group term life insurance is available to you after five months of full-time employment. You can enroll in the Principal Retirement Plan immediately, and be eligible for up to 3% matching contributions after a year of employment. There are nine residential holidays that staff are compensated either time and half or double time for hours worked on these days. We offer personal time-off, vacation time, and sick time.

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING

The Director of Development and Marketing will lead the organization’s overall development and marketing strategy. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Development and Marketing will work collaboratively with leadership to develop and implement strategies to broaden the impact of The Arc of Cape May County’s programs and oversee organizational messaging to all constituents. This role is responsible for managing all fundraising activities and building external relationships. Responsible for the agency’s fundraising strategies, fundraising, grant management and marketing activities.

Development

Oversee the agency’s plans and activities for raising money through non-governmental resources, including fundraising and capital campaigns, donations, planned giving, corporate sponsorships and partnerships, and entrepreneurial ventures;
Facilitates marketing and establishes working relationships and collaborations with partners, community groups, donors, government officials and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the agency;
Coordinates both public and private grant management activities which further the mission of the agency through special projects and collaborations;

Participates in the agency Fundraising Committee of the Board of Directors;
Ensures that donors and/or sponsors receive recognition in a well-organized, timely fashion. This includes thank you letters, public recognition, events, commemorative items and mementos, donor lists, credit language, donor recognition panels and naming opportunities;
Participate in the development and formulation of procedures and/or practices to ensure optimal and efficient agency performance and effective service delivery; ensure the most efficient and effective use of resources.
Marketing

Develop, implement and evaluate the annual development and marketing plan;
Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer and senior leadership to develop marketing strategies that will broaden programmatic reach and deepen the agency’s impact;
Develop and refine the agency’s core messages to ensure organizational consistency;
Serve as a liaison for the organization’s website, PR firm, Facebook page, and social media accounts;
Oversee organizational responses to inquiries about The Arc of Cape May County;
Maintain timely, thorough communication to all appropriate parties regarding program, administrative, and state/federal procedural issues (outside correspondence and alerts, etc.), disseminate relevant information to agency employees, individuals and families regarding legal, legislative, educational and community resource issues.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required;
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with a non-profit organization, preferably one serving people with developmental disabilities;
Highly collaborative style and effective communicator;
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently;
High energy, maturity and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force and to position communications discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels;
Significant marketing experience that includes a combination of advocacy, media relations, and marketing;
A strong track record of positioning an organization to achieve tangible outcomes in a competitive communications environment;
Self-starter, able to work independently and entrepreneurial, enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.
Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

RESIDENTIAL SERVICES DIRECTOR

Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year

In order to apply for this position, the following qualifications are needed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related field required. Minimum four (4) years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity, with experience in mental health and behavioral supports.

We are seeking a Residential Services Director to provide oversight of residential programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position provides supervision to residential staff to ensure appropriate and meaningful services are provided for individuals supported. Provides routine inspections, ensures adequate staffing schedules, coaches staff through training and development, completes performance reviews, assists in developing services for individuals supported, supports the intake process, coordinates with Case Management regarding the completion of medical appointments, follows up on GER reports, serves as a point of contact for families and guardians, coordinates and schedules NJISP meetings, oversees the administration of site budgets, monitors the completion of program documentation,

QUALIFICATIONS:
