BOARD & EXECUTIVE TEAM
The Board of Directors of The Arc of Cape May County is pleased
to announce the appointment of Laura Gaffney as the agency’s new
Chief Executive Officer. Laura will join the organization on August 1, 2022.
Ms. Gaffney brings a cadre of expertise and experience working
with individuals, families, and throughout the field of disabilities.
Most recently, Laura was the Family Support Services Coordinator
for Durand, Inc., in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
Ms. Gaffney is a passionate advocate for empowering individuals
and their families with intellectual and developmental disabilities to
reach their fullest potential. Laura brings firsthand knowledge of autism as a parent and has a
history of networking success within the disability community of constituents.
Laura is passionate about assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to
reach their fullest potential. Laura currently resides in Wildwood Crest with her husband and
two cats.
The Board of Directors of The Arc of Cape May County looks forward to advancing the mission
of the agency under Ms. Gaffney’s leadership.

Robin Watson, The Arc of Cape May County’s current Chief Program Officer, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer and will assume this new role under the leadership of newly appointed
CEO, Laura Gaffney. As chief Operating Officer, Ms. Watson will work in collaboration with the CEO and other key leadership to implement the organization’s strategic plan and ensure all aspects of the operations
are highlighting best practices. Robin will work in tandem with the
CEO to bring recognition to the Arc of Cape May County as being
known as “the best in class” in the provision of services for
individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Ms. Watson has worked for The Arc of Cape May County for 31 years in a variety of positions
throughout her tenure. Robin currently resides in Cape May Court House with her husband and
three dogs.
Congratulations to both Laura and Robin! We wish them well in their new positions.
The Arc of Cape May County is a non-profit organization advocating for people with
intellectual and developmental disabilities including Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy,
and other diagnoses. We promote and protect the human rights of individuals and actively
support their full inclusion and participation in the community. We help them achieve their
life goals and become more productive members of the community by helping to provide
support and create opportunities for education, employment, housing, and recreation. We
are changing public attitudes and fostering respect, access, and inclusion.
