DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
Pay: $20.50 per hour, $16.07 for training

Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record, a High School Diploma or GED, be able to work weekends, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities!
$20.50 per hour after completion of the first week of orientation (approximately 40 hours), in-program training (approximately 40 hours), and submission of completed training documentation. During training, and until the completed training packet is submitted to the Human Resources Department, the training rate of pay is $16.07 per hour. We provide various trainings including CPR/FA and medication training.
The typical shifts for these full-time positions are either 3pm-11pm or 11pm-9am in our residential programs. These positions are full-time (at least 40 hours per week) and include weekends.
Once you join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll have paid training and orientation sessions to gain skills in areas pertaining to developmental disabilities, medication dispensing, CPR/FA, crisis management, behavior support, documentation, and other job-related topics.

Here’s a brief summary of the benefits offered: Health, dental, and vision benefits are available on the first day of the month after 60 days of full-time employment. The agency offers a two different plans with Aetna, one of them being a HSA plan. Employer paid group term life insurance is available to you after five months of full-time employment. You can enroll in the Principal Retirement Plan immediately, and be eligible for up to 3% matching contributions after a year of employment. There are nine residential holidays that staff are compensated either time and half or double time for hours worked on these days. We offer personal time-off, vacation time, and sick time.

RESIDENTIAL SERVICES DIRECTOR
Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
In order to apply for this position, the following qualifications are needed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related field required. Minimum four (4) years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings.
- Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity, with experience in mental health and behavioral supports.

We are seeking a Residential Services Director to provide oversight of residential programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position provides supervision to residential staff to ensure appropriate and meaningful services are provided for individuals supported. Provides routine inspections, ensures adequate staffing schedules, coaches staff through training and development, completes performance reviews, assists in developing services for individuals supported, supports the intake process, coordinates with Case Management regarding the completion of medical appointments, follows up on GER reports, serves as a point of contact for families and guardians, coordinates and schedules NJISP meetings, oversees the administration of site budgets, monitors the completion of program documentation,
QUALIFICATIONS:

TRAINING COORDINATOR
Pay: $45,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
The Arc of Cape May County is a non-profit agency serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Cape May County. We are supportive of their goals and assist with their needs. Our goal is to provide quality assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities and to help them to become as independent as possible.
We are seeking a full-time Training Coordinator to coordinate courses for employees of the agency at our training center, and to also train staff in our residential programs. Schedule flexibility is important in this position. It requires training when our staff are working – afternoons, evenings, weekends, and can include overnights.
- Oversee and ensure timely scheduling of training sessions, such as new staff orientations, ensuring facility setup, audiovisual setup, and employee notification;
- Organize and ensure effective delivery of orientation of new staff and on-going trainings annually and as needed;
- Train direct care staff in our residential settings during non-orientation weeks;
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive training program including new hire orientation, in compliance with applicable federal and state statutory and regulatory requirements;
- Coordinate and/or facilitate other agency training needs such as customer service, leadership, managerial/supervisor training, and any other trainings as needed by the agency’s workforce;
- Ensure effective delivery of course content;
- Communicate with management to identify training needs;
- Review on-going training programs, recommend appropriate changes to ensure training is up-to-date, instructionally sound and results in optimal learning;
- Maintain our on-line training management system and facilitate changes as needed to ensure compliance with federal and state statutory and regulatory training and records maintenance requirements;
- Attend meetings, collaborate with others, and contribute towards training goals
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
- Minimum of three years prior training or teaching experience;
- At least three years experience working with adult IDD population, preferably in residential settings;
- Training certifications and credentialing as needed;
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and on-line meeting, conferencing, and collaboration applications; experience in Therap is a plus;
- Strong planning and organization skills
