Family Support

Helps relieve the stress of providing 24 hour care to people with I/DD. Respite providers give in-home care so that parents and other long-term caregivers can take a much-needed break or attend to personal business.

The Family Support program has the greatest direct impact on families who meet all the needs of their loved one while remaining in their own homes. By far, a home is usually the most appropriate place for individuals with I/DD to be as opposed to placement in residential programs operated by service providers.
